Desk Inspired by Precisionist Artwork
The sharply defined, stark forms of Precisionist artwork by such painters as Georgia O’Keeffe and Edward Hopper, seen at San Francisco’s de Young Museum, sowed the seeds for the crisp geometric lines of Nelson’s desk. “The stoic, monochromatic exterior is meant to contrast with the warm and inviting interior of the desk,” he says.
