Walnut Desk
Conner combined ideas from a variety of articles when he made this desk—”Building a Roll-Top Desk by Kenneth Baumert,” FWW #79, and “18th Century Pennsylvania Secretary” by Lonnie Bird, FWW #154, to name just two. The secretary article provided design inspiration for the compartments inside the desk. He also incorporated a pull-out writing surface design from a 1930s desk made by his father. “All to create uniqueness and increase functionality,” he says.
