This is my first real project using dovetail joinery. I have practiced on test pieces before, and finally decided to give it a try on a real project. I designed the cabinet in Sketchup and got some inspiration from James Krenov. The cabinet is made from Cherry and Pine, then finished with Watco Natural Danish Oil. I really like how the finish came out. The oil penetrates the surface of the wood, protecting it from the inside while making the project still look like its made from wood. This was definitely a fun project, and I’m happy with the way it came out. I am looking forward to the next one.
