Ash Stools
Intrigued by the technique Greg Klassen employed to split and then steam-bend the legs in his chair (back cover, FWW #240), Chris scored some air-dried ash from a sawyer and tried it on this pair of bar-height, three-legged stools. “The back leg is steam-bent both in the curve of the leg and also at the top where it splits,” he said, adding “the project required a fair amount of hand-tool time along with a plethora of jigs.”
