Mahogany, rosewood, and satinwood writing table
When his wife fell in love with an antique writing table during a trip to the Louvre in Paris, Alex decided to reproduce the Louis XV piece as a memento of their special trip. The marquetry top was the most technically challenging part of the project, he said, but adapting the brass ornaments and half-round strips was the most time-consuming.
