Spalted Maple Epoxy Coffee Table
The wood for this spalted maple table came from a local sawmill. After a little back and forth with the client, we arrived at a sketch similar to what you see in the picture. In the end, the client and his family loved it.
One technique used while building this table was the slight curve. Instead of casting a square table and then using a router to round the edges, I used PVC trim from a local home center to create the walls for the epoxy cast. At first I was unsure if this would actually work, but the mold held. And trimming it up was really easy after everything cured.
