Mount Fuji Sunrise
I had taken a Kumiko course a few years ago learning the traditional way of making this most interesting form of art. I wasn’t until Fine Woodworking published a story by Mike Farrington that I began to explore the modern way to achieve the same results. The big difference is time, that is the time it takes to produce quality work. Mike demonstrated how to produce consistent results with a high degree of accuracy. These two attributes take years to master using hand tools with pencil marks. Thank you Mike for your contribution. I would never have reached this standard without reading Mike’s article.
