A gothic A & C coat hook stand
This oak coat stand was made of left-over oak bits from making a large oak bed. It’s a vaguely A & C style with gothic ironwork thingies on it and a few squares of African blackwood for decoration. Most of the iron bits were made by various crafts folk from hereabouts (West Wales).
It does need a larger and more gothic black bird on it. I have one made by a local artist in paper mache – one of a series of “bringer birds” that have their wings unfolded and some kind of bauble in their beak. They are all very dark with claws and beak well-sharp as well as a beady eye, so can frighten small children as soon as look at ’em!
Black iron spiders are about to join the throng, crawling up the main post. Will anyone dare hang a coat on there? Or, if they do, will they dare retrieve it!?

This is awesome! I love the frog and bear (looks like a bear at the bottom)!

Them's too small for bears and are, in fact, toads. They eat the flies and poison anyone who touches their skin. :-)
There are bears in our house. The ladywife makes stuffed toys as one of her many hobbies so we are infested with them. There are 12 small bears in front of me on the desk as I type this - plus a woodworking rabbit (with toolbox and leather apron) as well as a white mouse.
