Cherry Wall Cabinet
Inspired by the wall cabinets in Fine Woodworking by Mike Pekovich, Christian Becksvoort, and Mario Rodriguez I made this cherry wall cabinet to hold a Japanese tea set and tea. Like most of my work, it’s Shaker inspired. The case is dovetailed as are the ash drawers. The back is shiplapped boards and the cabinet hangs on a French cleat. The finish is Danish oil.
A piece of this size allowed me to focus on thoughtful use of the grain, exposed hand-cut joinery and an inset frame and panel door. It was really a joy to build!

Very nice work. I particularly like the center panel.
Thank you very much.
