The color and texture of the firewood reminded me of the fur of my friend’s deceased golden-doodle, while the shape reminded of the outstretched front paws.
Consideration was given to the natural shapes, angles, and edges of the wood when designing and attempting to blend rough with smooth, straight and square with compound angles.
Finish: platina shellac and wax.
