The goal of his entry table was to meld a clean, angular cabinet with curved and tapered legs to create a feeling that the main cabinet was being lifted up to the user. I also wanted to break up the angular design of the cabinet with the rounded curves of the legs. The top and sides feature both a book-matched and waterfalled sapele grain. I also wanted to incorporate some beautiful quartersawn curly maple so that the drawer offered a cool surprise for the user, rather than just a functional storage component. The leg joinery was inspired by work at the Waters and Acland Furniture School, but with my own twist.
