Art Nouveau Desk
This desk was inspired by a piece made by the French art nouveau furnituremaker Jacques Gruber, though this design is simpler and visually lighter. The legs are tapered, bent laminations, their plies cut from 12/4 stock. Leo veneered the top with a 24-in.-wide leaf of flat-cut Cuban mahogany veneer from a tree harvested in the early 1970s.
