Desktop Organizers

These desktop organizers were made from trees that grew on my property. There is no more ash due to the emerald, green borer. The cherry grew as an understory tree in primarily oak woods. So, it grew diagonally in search of sunlight and was difficult to obtain straight boards.

Wow! Great job. You must have done a lot of work to get the boards flat, straight and true. Did you do that with hand planes?
Yes, unfortunately I work in an open back porch, not a shop. The only electric tool I used was a router to make grooves and rabbets. Lots of bow sawing, hand sawing, hand-planes, card scraping, and some spoke shaving. Not by choice, mind you. I would rather start learning and using some machines.
