Floating Cabinet with a Floating Top
Times change. Our old media cabinet had drawers for CD’s and room for a receiver, CD player, etc. We watch and listen differently in our old age so I scaled down.
Primarily walnut with walnut veneer floating panels. Drop front design with plenty of room for the smaller devices we now use.
Hung from dual French cleats the full length of the back. The under lighting amplifies the floating effect and acts as an adjustable ambient light.
The tiger maple cabinet on top is a nod to Clark Kellogg featured in the magazine. It is designed to be wall hung but now resides on top of the new cabinet.
