The base cabinets consists of three sections capped off with a full length shelf which serves as the support for the upper open and enclosed bookcase sub-units. The two center-most drawers tilt forward and are a façade for a sliding desk. The top crown molding and the profiled baseboard are attached with offset dowels. Reassembling the unit in a condo required the construction of two pedestals riding on casters upon which the upper unit was placed and rolled into place above the installed lower cabinets.
