Inspired Corset Chair

The inspiration for “Corset Chair” came from the pattern on the mahogany crotch slab that Dana salvaged in South Florida. He built the back of the chair so you can see through the crack. He made barbell-shaped walnut butterflies, scaled to match the flare of the back, to span the crack. The remainder of the crack was filled with clear resin before shaping.
