An Infill Apron Plane
Recently engrossed in making the tools that aid and complement the creation of fine furniture, Nicholas made this infill apron plane. He wanted the plane to be sleek, streamlined, and fit nicely in the hand. The entire plane was made using hand tools (hacksaw and files). The construction relies on dovetails to secure the sidewalls to the sole. Once the dovetails have been peened, the surface is filed and lapped to create a seamless finish.
