Sculpted Rocking Chair

I built this walnut rocking chair over several months. The initial work was done during a class at Marc Adams School of Woodworking taught by Marc. The outcome of that week was a blocky chair structure that was refined via grinding, rasping, and sanding to the final piece.
A “Sam Maloof”-style finish (1/3 teak oil, 1/3 boiled linseed oil, 1/3 spar varnish) and a final coat of bee’s wax with equal parts teak and boiled linseed oil.
