Venetian Console-inspired Table
Inspired by an 18th-century Venetian console, this table was a study in curves and bent laminations. The jigs were designed in Rhino 3D. The edging, apron, and legs are all bent laminations. Richard referred to Jere Osgood’s seminal 1979 article “Tapered Lamination” (FWW #14) to make the legs. Due to the sharp bends, he had to steam-bend the layers of walnut prior to glue-up.
