Mini coffee table
I work with wood for several years now, for the Pleasure of exploring shapes and proportions in objects. I made this coffee table to furnish a small living Room where people use to site on large cushions on the floor. It is a Little lower than a regular coffee table but high enough to slide the legs under ans use as writing table. The top is made of Ash, crosspieces ans legs are made of yellow birch, cut by a friend’s father in the nearby forest. On small pièces like this, i try to put the emphasis on the possibility of using assemblies as décorative details. Here, with the protruding tenons of the legs. I tried to make the parts as small as possible, without compromising the solidity ans original design
