This table started out by my clients, Gary & Tessa, sending me a couple design inspirations from tables they saw that had elements they liked. Other than that they listed out what they wanted such as the size, features, wood species etc. This one measured 76×38, and was all made of Black Walnut. It has accessory rails wrapping around the table for a total of 6 cup holders to be able to hook onto, It has a stunning trestle base that I custom-designed and features a beautiful through mortise and tenon that is wedged on both sides (no glue in that joint), It has the removable top leaves that convert it to a dining table and the leaves also have continuous grain between the 3 leaves to create the larger picture, It has push pins on both sides that discreetly push the leaves upwards to remove them when needed. Finished with 2 coats of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C in the Walnut tint. 125 hours of labor in this one and a lot of love put into it. I hope you enjoy.
