Cherry Hall Table
I designed and built this piece from one 8/4 piece of rift sawn cherry while taking the Authentic Casework class at Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. The grain match is highlighted using miters in the case piece. One of my goals for the course was to improve my skills that incorporate curves in my work. The front drawer is a bent lamination with a Macassar ebony veneer. The front rail of the stand is also a bent lamination and the front legs incorporate a subtle curve to complement the curves in the case. The drawer pulls are from a FWW article (a Gem of a Pull) and involve multiple jigs. A fun project.
