A Walnut and Maple Hope Chest
Spencer built this hope chest as a graduation present for his cousin. It features solid hardwood and veneer construction. To create the base, he used bent lamination. He cut the drawer front out of the body of the piece to make a seamless grain match, and for the walnut pull he used the plans from Philip Morley’s article “Make a Wooden Pendant Pull” (FWW #271).
