An Oak and Sycamore Desk
Heavily inspired by the landscape of the Ribblesdale valley near his home in the Yorkshire Dales, Tom incorporated some of its features in this piece. For instance, the dovetails running along the ends of the desk depict the famous Ribblehead viaduct. The under-drawer storage and desk frame resembles the iconic profile of Pen-y-ghent, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The heavily figured grain of the oak and sycamore recalls the flowing River Ribble.
