Mahogany side table with ebony string inlay, and a sand-shaded holly inlay flower. The vacuum-pressed top is double book-matched crotch mahogany veneer with a backer veneer for stability over a 1″ thick birch plywood substrate. The seven-sided tapered mahogany column is coopered and joined by full-length splines for strength and alignment. Tenons on the column to secure the top and base were turned on the lathe. Finish is shellac. (31″ h x 17″ w)
