Chest of Drawers
To celebrate his son’s graduation from the University of Georgia, Jim built him this chest of drawers. He wanted a contemporary look with dark-colored woods, without too much curvature or added embellishment, so Jim chose sapele as the primary wood, wenge for the pulls, and brass pins in the pulls as a decorative touch.

Jim,
I really like the design and fabrication of your chest of drawers. I like the proportions you chose for the asymmetrical drawers and the simple but elegant design features such as the moldings around the bottom and the nice transition between the feet and the bottom apron. Congratulations on a nicely executed piece of work!
