I made this music stand for my daughter. The mechanism idea was from a Shaker candle stand that could ratchet up and down. This is made of walnut and hard maple. An added complication was that it needed to break down for shipping so she had to glue on the legs after the box arrived. Fun project – it took a long time to make as I prototyped much of it to verify it would work as intended. if there is a next one, it will take a lot less time to put together. She is thrilled with it.
