Kumiko door Cabinet
The Kumiko door cabinet is made fro white Oak, drawers fronts are made from Ash, the Kumiko door is covered with Mulberry paper, its size is very convenient to fit any room (52X30X11 inch) the back of the cabinet is made from boards laid one on another and held by beautiful Japanese iron nails. I use this back framework whice was inspired from Michael Pekovich book (The why & how of woodworking).
When the door is open it is held by a thin leather strap.
My name is Haim Zennou, I work with wood several years now, I carve spoons, I make bowls and boxes on the lathe and I love to build fine cabinets at Hasadna wood craft in Abirim Israel, The place is managed by Oren Fiegenbaum who studied at Inside Passage school with the master Robert Van Norman.
