A ‘plane’ plane

I’m currently working on the restoration of a Mk 6 Mosquito fighter bomber, here in New Zealand. I was tuning this Stanley 151 series spokeshave one day when I was struck by its aircraft-like form.
By blocking off the holes with thickened epoxy I was able to spray-paint my ‘plane’ in Mosquito colors and apply some decals, (Royal Air Force roundels, donated by a friend).
Two coats of gloss water-borne varnish followed by a satin top coat and it was ‘chocks away’.
Next up, a suitable companion/foe – in the north Africa desert campaign colors, perhaps!
