This was created in the traditionalist method of marquetry, cutting by hand using a scalpel knife. All 2,642 veneer pieces are natural, non-dyed veneer including walnut burl, cherry burl, mahogany, olive, harewood, anigre, aspen, beech. birch, sycamore, satinwood, mansonia, wenge
There are 10 coats of sprayed lacquer sanding sealer to level out the picture, then 5 coats of semi-gloss topcoats. Over 500 hours to complete.
