Frank created this workbench for a violin maker. It is constructed with hand-cut houndstooth dovetails (see Frank’s article “Houndstooth Dovetails,” FWW #298) on each corner of the bench. The marquetry is made from thick shopsawn veneers, all hand cut using the double-bevel method. The stringing inlay on the bench is violin purfling. The violin maker’s name is a copy of the name stamp that he puts on the inside of his violins.
