Nakashima style desk

I started this project by searching for the perfect slab for the top of my desk and eventually settled on two beautiful slabs to make a book matched top which I purchased from the woodworking teacher that I replaced named Keith Yow. Keith was featured in FWW magazine #186 for being the woodshop teacher of the year.
I wanted to stick to the mission of George Nakashima which is to keep the “fundamental beauty of nature expressed in lumber.”
