PSA to the podcast listeners. You're missing out on the gesticulations Matt and Mike make when describing their techniques. They're even better than the trademark sound effects like Bonk Bonk Bonk. I guess muscle memory just takes over when you're talking about your craft.
That being said, thanks guys for taking the time to record these, and Ben for postprocessing them. It adds some real personality to hear and see the people behind an amazing magazine.
In a recent discussion on "old iron" vr new equipment, it was stated that you would buy new table saws and bandsaws for improved dust collection and features. I recently replaced a 10" benchtop bandsaw with a Laguna 14-Twelve bandsaw. The old 10" bandsaw would become covered with dust--inside and out--even when using dust collection. Today, I was using the Laguna for about 45 minutes (with a shop vac connected to the 4" port). When I cleaned up the bandsaw, there was less than 1/4 teaspoon of dust inside and very little outside. Kudos to Laguna for their excellent dust collection.
